The Transitional Advising team, located on the first floor of the Whitten University Center in Room 1319, provides support and resources for incoming students through first-semester course registration. The team is well-versed on all programs at the University and provides students with holistic coaching and a consistent transition experience as they navigate from high school to college.
Students understand their academic requirements, develop their course schedules, and, in some cases, register for classes. They are empowered to interpret university policy, make informed decisions, and utilize University resources available to assist in their academic success.
The Transitional Advising team, in collaboration with other campus partners, is committed to helping students feel valued and connected to the University of Miami from the moment they deposit to their first day of class and beyond.
