The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost is the chief academic officer.  The provost oversees and coordinates academic programs, including both teaching and research, and works closely with the president to provide leadership for institutional planning and advancing the educational mission and core values of the University of Miami.  The University’s schools and colleges, select centers and institutes, and key offices and administrative units report directly to the provost.
